IRS On-line 401(k) Questionnaire: Don't Ignore It!Recently, the IRS sent a 46-page questionnaire to many 401(k) plan sponsors. The questionnaire is extremely complicated and detailed and asks the plan sponsor to present information regarding qualified retirement plans back as far as three or four years. The IRS is looking for compliance issues and problems regarding 401(k) retirement plans. If you get one of these requests for information, please do not ignore it. We understand that ignoring the request for information may result in an audit. What do you do if you receive this request for information?
